Congrats! Madonna‘s daughter Lourdes Leon graduated from high school on Wednesday, June 25.
The 17-year-old designer looked all grown up in a chic yellow sundress as she arrived for her big day at Lincoln Center in New York City. The teen then donned a white cap and gown as she received her diploma from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City (a.k.a the “Fame” school).
Despite feeling “slightly saddened” as she looked back on her four years in high school in a blog posted to her site, Material Girl, on June 12, Madge’s daughter’s education isn’t done — she’s going to college!
Lourdes, who goes by Lola, has enrolled as a freshman at the University of Michigan, Madonna’s alma mater. The “Like a Prayer” singer’s daughter, with ex Carlos Leon, registered in the university’s directory as a student in the undergraduate music, theatre, and dance program, in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in musical theatre.
Lourdes’ songstress mom supported her daughter’s decision, showing the school her support by Instagramming a snap of the university’s merchandise store in Ann Arbor, The M Den.
“I think I’ll stop in here!” Madonna captioned the photo, adding, “#unapologeticbitch.”
