An early birthday gift! Megan Hilty and her husband Brian Gallagher are expecting their first child together, she tells Us Weekly exclusively.
The exciting announcement coincides with Hilty's 33rd birthday, and four months after the couple tied the knot! Even better — the parents-to-be found out they are expecting on Gallagher's 34th birthday back in January.
"We took the test together," Hilty explains to Us. "It was the best present he got this year — or any other year for that matter!"
The former Smash star and Broadway veteran hasn't had to face morning sickness, but admits the pregnancy cravings are already kicking in. "Everything I can't have!" she says of her food choices. "I want sushi, tuna fish sandwiches, coffee and champagne."
"I haven't shopped for any baby things yet," she adds. "But I have found some amazing maternity dresses for the summer."
Hilty and musician Gallagher said "I do" in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas on Nov. 2, and announced the news via Twitter. "I married the love of my life tonight at The Venetian Chapel in Las Vegas!" the Sean Saves the World alum gushed. "#HeLikedItSoHePutaRingOnIt."
The couple are definitely looking forward to finding out the gender of their bundle of joy, but for now, they're happy just singing to their future daughter or son. Hilty quips: "This baby's gonna be really sick of our voices by the time it arrives!"
