Michael Weatherly has baby names on the brain! After announcing Saturday, April 6 that he and wife Bojana Jankovic are expecting their second child together, the NCIS star told Us Weekly they're already debating baby names.
Weatherly, 44, attended the 7th annual American Red Cross Red Tie Affair at the Fairmont hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. on Saturday and chatted with Us about his exciting baby news. "I'm showing a little bit," the actor, who attended the event solo, joked.
Though they don't know the gender yet, Weatherly told Us, "There are many names being discussed. Some are very controversial. We have some Serbian names and some Irish names. Her heritage is Serbian, mine is Irish. I thought that it might be fun."
The actor, who stars as Special Agent Tony DiNozzo on NCIS, shared, "I liked the name Veronica, just because there's an Elvis Costello song, but I don't know if Veronica is going to make it. I think Veronica Weatherly sounded a little bit like she might be a nightmare, you know what I mean?"
Weatherly and Jankovic, who married in 2009, are parents to daughter Olivia, who turns 12 months on April 10. For her first birthday, the parents are "going to have a magician."
Baby No. 2 is due in October and Weatherly said he's glad his children will be close in age. "It'll be good," he said. "This Christmas we're hoping everything will be smooth."
