Annual family friend vacation! Neil Patrick Harris, his partner, David Burtka, and their twins are currently on a fabulous vacation with Elton John‘s family. The How I Met Your Mother star and his family were spotted going on a boat ride with the singer’s husband, David Furnish, and their two sons in St. Tropez, France on Friday, Aug. 9.
Harris, 40, Burtka, 38, and their twins, Harper and Gideon, 2, enjoyed a day out in the sun with Furnish, 50, and his sons Zachary, almost 3, and Elijah, 7 months. The dads made sure their children, dressed in adorable vacation wear, were fitted in life jackets before boarding the boat.
The family friends vacation together in St. Tropez every year. “[Elton and David] are great guys,” Harris told Access Hollywood in 2011. “They’re super great parents. They’re so fiercely involved in their son’s life, and it’s really kind of great to watch them interact with him.”
Unfortunately, Furnish’s other half was unable to attend the trip this year. John, 66, is currently recovering at his home in Nice, France from surgery to remove his appendix. The musician, who was forced to cancel European tour dates last month due to illness, underwent the operation at Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco on July 31.
