Perrey Reeves became a mom at the perfect time. “I’m really calm. I would not have been calm before,” the 47-year-old told Us Weekly at the Life Itself premiere in Los Angeles. “Some people are calm at 25. I don’t think I was. I think having a baby when you’re older is a gift, because I feel like I’ve done so much in my life, and I’m totally happy to go with the flow.”
The Entourage alum and her husband, Aaron Fox, secretly welcomed their daughter, Phoenix Delphine, in October 2017 — a milestone that Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in March.
“We didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl,” Reeves told Us at the movie premiere, so they chose a unisex moniker. “I was worried it might be too trendy, so she has a middle name that I can always revert to if there’s six Phoenix’s in her class.”
At 11-months-old, Reeves says her little one is growing at an alarming rate. “She’s like a little computer downloading it all,” the Famous in Love actress gushed. Every morning, Phoenix looks a little bit more grown up. “Her face, everything appears different,” Reeves told Us. “Her hair’s longer overnight.”
Though Reeves is bummed that Famous in Love won’t be returning for a second season, she sees a silver lining. “It’s going to mean some free time to spend with Phoenix,” she pointed out. “So that’s nice.”
