The singer’s message about no-shame parenting is one many mothers need to hear.
“A really sweet Mama came up 2me tonight at the grocery store and told me some nice words about how she gets strength from my parenting cause I’m not afraid to f—k up in public,” Pink tweeted early on Thursday, December 28. “We cried together. It’s so hard. Ya’ll. I wish us mamas could give ourselves and each other a break.”
The Grammy winner opened up to Us Weekly in May about how motherhood has changed her. (She shares Willow, 6, and Jameson, 12 months, with her husband, Carey Hart.)
“I honestly can’t believe how responsible I am,” she told Us at the time. “All of the sudden I’m a soccer mom and doing the damn thing. No one would have guessed this for me. Honestly, I didn’t realize you could enjoy it so much.”
Soon she looks forward to making her kids cringe: “Embarrassing them is the fun part!” she told Us.
It shouldn’t be hard considering kindergartner Willow is already unimpressed with her hit records. “The other day, I picked up her friend, who started singing, ‘Raise Your Glass,’” she recalled.. “My daughter rolled her eyes and said, ‘That’s not even one of the good ones.’”
