Toddlers aren’t exactly known for keeping secrets. So when Coco Rocha broke her pregnancy news to daughter Ioni, 2, she had a moment of ‘What did I just do!?’
“When you tell a two-and-a-half-year-old that you’re having a baby, they get really excited, but then you realize, ‘Wait. We’re not announcing it yet,’” the supermodel exclusively told Us Weekly in NYC on Monday, December 4, at the Bloomberg 50 Celebration of Icons and Innovators Who Changed Business in 2017. “She only told one person. It was a friend, but we were only telling family at the time.”
Now the world — or at least Rocha’s 1.2 million Instagram followers — know that Ioni is going to be a big sister. Earlier on Monday, The Face judge, 29, revealed she and British artist husband James Conran are expecting baby No. 2.
“Your attention please! @ioniconran has a very important announcement to make!! #babyconran2,” she captioned the clip, in which the little girl adorably exclaims: “There’s a baby in Mommy’s tummy!”
Rocha, who says she is “half way” to her due date, has been having what she calls a “pretty boring” pregnancy (translation: easy.) “No cravings. For a while I was tired, but it’s been really good,” she told Us on Monday. “I’m showing, so I’m excited.”
The newest addition of the Conran clan will take over Ioni’s gender neutral nursery now that she’s moved into a big girl room. “It was so colorful and it wasn’t girly,” explained Rocha. “I don’t like to make something for a girl or make something for a boy.”
Meanwhile, though the use mom could use a break, she says she won’t be taking a babymoon. “I wish,” Rocha told Us. “If there is ever a vacation, it’s usually us three together in our living room watching some children’s television show.”
