Baby makes four! Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel are looking forward to welcoming their first child together.
“We’re just really excited to expand our family,” the 34-year-old exclusively told Us Weekly at a meet-and-greet event for her KORA Organics skincare line at Sephora in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday, December 3.
Kerr’s 6-year-old son, Flynn, whom she shares with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, is also thrilled to become a big brother. “Oh, he’s very excited,” she gushed. “It’s so sweet.”
The Australian model and the Snapchat CEO, 27, announced last month that they are expecting their first bundle of joy together. “Miranda, Evan and Flynn are looking forward to welcoming the newest member of their family,” her spokesperson said in a statement to Us on November 15.
This time around, Kerr is experiencing more complications than she did during her first pregnancy. “I have been getting hormonal headaches, which I never got with Flynn,” she told Us. “Apparently, my doctor said [with] the second pregnancy, your hormones kind of kick in a little stronger because they’re like, ‘Oh, yeah. I know what’s happening. I know what to do.’ So that’s probably why.”
As the couple, who tied the knot at their home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood in May, prepare for the arrival of their baby, they’re making sure to pencil in plenty of quality time as a family. “I include both Flynn and Evan when we do yoga,” Kerr said. “Sometimes, if Evan is away or in the afternoon after school, Flynn and I will do Mommy and Me yoga. … That’s really healing for all of us.”
The busy mom is also focused on keeping her skin healthy and explained the inspiration behind her company. “We’re living in this fast paced world where there’s a lot of travel, there’s so much pollution in the air and whatnot, why wouldn’t you want to put on your skin, which is the largest organ, products that are certifiable organic and you’re going to put nutrients into your skin, so that you can have the healthiest skin that you can?” she told Us.
“I’m just super excited about all of our new formulations, the new packaging … this has literally been my baby,” the entrepreneur continued. “I started this company like 10 years ago in Australia and you know, I’m at a point in my career where I’m able to now pick and choose what I do and how I spend my time. … I am very passionate about health and wellness, and it’s exciting to be able to provide something that is kind of hard to get, which is certified organic skincare.”
She added, “It’s not only important to me when I’m pregnant, like right now, but it’s important for everyone. And everyone deserves to have healthy skin … and that’s the whole message behind my products.”
