These two are just too cute! Reese Witherspoon and her look-alike daughter Ava Phillippe have escaped for some mother-daughter bonding time in Rome, Italy — and their vacation snaps are totally adorable.
The Oscar-winning actress and her 15-year-old daughter have been enjoying the sights, tastes, and experiences Rome has to offer since Tuesday, June 16, documenting snippets of their vacation adventure via Instagram.
After first posing a photograph of a pizza with the caption, "You had me at pizza. Hello #VacationAdventures. #GuessWhereIAm," the mom-of-three went on to drop hints before confirming her destination with a photograph of daughter Ava, wearing knee-high lace-up sandals at one of Rome's ancient monuments.
"When in #Rome!!! @avaphillippe (OK, cat is out of the bag. We love you Italy!) #VacationAdventures #MomHumor" the fun-loving actress wrote.
Witherspoon then went on to share pictures of herself and her daughter Ava (from her first marriage to Ryan Phillippe) exploring some of the city's churches, in particular St. Ignatius. "The ceiling has the most intricate paintings," Witherspoon, 39, wrote, before sharing a picture of her daughter looking up at one of them. "#Rome is all the more beautiful with the people you love @avaphillippe."
But while the Rome vacation might have seemed like any normal mother-daughter adventure in the beautiful Italian capital, all that changed on Thursday, June 19, when the famous pair had dinner with a friend — none other than fashion designer Valentino Garavani!
"What an honor to see Mr. Valentino at dinner last night in Rome @maisonvalentino #legend," Witherspoon gushed in the caption of a photo she shared via Instagram of herself and Ava (looking so grown up and cool!) posing with the fashion legend in a Rome restaurant.
Wearing a white lace dress and with her hair in a pretty ponytail, teenager Ava looked every bit as relaxed and mature as her superstar mom as she smiled alongside the fashion designer for a post-dinner photo.
