Happily out of hiding — even kissing Scarlet Johansson! — after a rough few months, Sandra Bullock doesn't take her blissful new life as a single mom for granted.
The Tuohy family, who were portrayed in Bullock's The Blind Side, have kept in close touch with the star, who is unexpectedly raising adopted son Louis Bardo alone; she filed for divorce from philandering husband Jesse James in April.
"She is in a really good position," Colins Tuohy (daughter to Blind Side's real-life heroine Leigh Anne) told UsMagazine.com at Wednesday's CMT Awards in Nashville. The actress, Colins added, "is blessed to have such a wonderful little boy — and she knows it! [She] takes advantage of it everyday."
Also on hand at the CMTs, Leigh Anne Tuohy (who is "best friends" with Bullock, Colins said) added that Louis Bardo — secretly adopted in January — is "a beautiful little boy."
After stepping out in New Orleans and Austin, Tex. with her little boy last month, Bullock, 45, made her big, humor-filled Hollywood return during two consecutive awards shows last weekend. Accepting a trophy at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards Saturday, she joked about the "I.E.D. explosion that became my personal life"; at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, she planted one on Johansson.
"Ryan [Reynolds] is right," Bullock told UsMagazine.com exclusively after the smooch. "Scarlett is a great kisser."
