Okay, this is adorable. Cruel Intentions stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon‘s kids are actually super close.
The friends, who kept in touch after their 1999 film, now regularly hang out — enough so that their children have bonded. “Reese’s son and my son are best friends,” Gellar told Entertainment Tonight of the Legally Blonde star’s little man Tennessee and her boy Rocky on Oct. 8, even admitting that that the pair sometimes carpool. 
The mom to Charlotte and Rocky also said that it’s hard to remember that so much time has passed since the flick — which also starred Witherspoon’s ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, and Selma Blair — was released. “We all see each other, so you don’t realize you’re getting older. Then all of the sudden you’re faced with the revival of your movie, with all these young kids in it, and we’re like, ‘Oh, we’re old.’ That’s when it hits you,” she said.
But any time Witherspoon and Gellar get together is cause for celebration. On the night of the Cruel Intentions musical in May, Witherspoon Instagrammed a flashback picture from the movie’s premiere and a selfie of the three women now. “What. A. Night! Cannot recommend The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions enough, and it was absolutely unforgettable with these lovely ladies by my side @sarahmgellar @therealselmablair! #Reunited #Girlsnight,” the mom of Ava, Deacon, and Tennessee shared on May 29.
