“I was worried,” Williams told Us Weekly on Wednesday, April 25, at the NYC premiere of her HBO docu-series Being Serena. “Everyone talks about this emotion and I was worried I wouldn’t feel it, you know? But I did. I did feel it.”

While speaking about her 7-month-old Olympia, Williams’ entire face lit up. “I’m so in love with her,” the athlete, 36, gushed to Us. “It’s just great.”

The first-time mom, who is married to entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, admitted they’ve been spoiling their infant. When asked if Olympia has a favorite toy, Williams explained the baby has “so many” to choose from “so she hasn’t really gravitated to one.”

Back in November, Williams tweeted: “I do love @alexisohanian but if he buys one more outfit or toy for Olympia @OlympiaOhanian I’m going to explode.” The Reddit cofounder cleverly replied: “Books don’t count!”

Ohanian accompanied his wife to the Wednesday night premiere where he proudly watched her promote her new series. At one point, he politely declined an interview, saying it was “her night.”

The 23-time Grand Slam winner and Ohanian tied the knot in November 2017, in front of 200 family and friends including Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. Olympia was 2 months old at the time.

Kardashian gushed to Vogue about Williams finding true-love with Ohanian. “I’ve known Serena for so long and am so happy she’s found her prince. From the moment she told me she met Alexis in Rome, it was like . . . she’s been so happy and has this light about her that is so special to see,” raved the reality star. “You just know it is so real.”

Being Serena premieres on HBO on May 2 at 10 p.m.
