‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ Mom Courtney Waldrop Feels ‘Guilty’ When She Takes Alone Time (Exclusive)

It would be an understatement to say that Courtney and Eric Waldrop have their hands full. The Sweet Home Sextuplets stars are parents of nine children under the age of 10. But Courtney, 36, would rather stay home with her brood then slip away for some alone time at a nail salon.

“Eric would let me me go as much as I want, but honestly, I feel guilty if I leave do something for myself,” the Albertville, Alabama-based teacher told Us Weekly exclusively. “It’s all about the kids now.”

The kids include 10-month-old sextuplets Tag, Layke, Blue, Rivers, Rawlings and Rayne  — three boys and three girls. Born on December 11, 2017, the babies joined big brothers Sailor, 9, and twins Bridge and Wales, both 5.

Courtney and Eric, who began dating in junior high and tied the knot in 2004, are grateful for their noisy home after Courtney’s high-risk pregnancy.

“Our marriage is stronger than ever now. I know people would say, ‘How can that be? Your marriage should not be stronger,’” Courtney told Us. “But I think because we went through such a hard time where we doubted and we didn’t know what the outcome was gonna be. We really struggled at the beginning of our pregnancy and we both just had to step out on a leap of faith and we had to do it together. We formed a bond from that point on.”

Courtney can depend on her “rock” Eric for anything and everything. “We’re just a team,” she explained. “It takes both of us to raise these nine kids.”

But even though the couple are up to their eyeballs in diapers and bottles, they still find ways to say “I love you.” On Mother’s Day, Eric surprised his wife with fresh flowers in nine vases to represent their children. “He got up early when we were only going off about three hours of sleep and cut me flowers from everybody,” she gushed. “It was really special.”

The final episode of the first season of Sweet Home Sextuplets airs on TLC on Tuesday, October 23, at 10 p.m. ET.
