Tom Daley and husband Dustin Lance Black are feeling the love on Valentine’s Day after announcing they are expecting their first child.
The Olympic diver, 23, and 43-year-old Black, a screenwriter, shared the news on Instagram with photos of themselves holding an ultrasound printout on Wednesday, February 14.
Daley captioned his sweet snap, “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” while Black, who won an Oscar for his 2009 film Milk, wrote: “A very happy #ValentinesDay from ours to yours 👨👨👦.”
The dads-to-be have racked up more than 250,000 combined likes so far.
“Lance and I definitely want a family in the future,” Daley told The Belfast Telegraph in 2017. “Who knows when? We’re both lucky to have supportive families. We want to share that with our own children.”
The couple announced their engagement in 2015 and married in May 2017 in Devon, England.
Daley and Black started dating in the summer of 2013, shortly before the British bronze medalist came out as bisexual in a YouTube video.
“My life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great,” he gushed at the time, not disclosing Black’s identity. “That someone is a guy. It did take me by surprise a little bit. I still fancy girls.”
Sources previously told Us Weekly that Daley wasn’t bothered by the 20-year age gap between him and the American writer. Said the insider: “Tom told friends he doesn’t care what people think.”
