Surprise! Tyra Banks is a mom! The supermodel announced on Wednesday, January 27, that she’s welcomed a baby boy, via surrogate, with her boyfriend, Erik Asla.
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone,” the new mom captioned an Instagram photo of a baby’s hat. “York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.
The former FABLife host, 42, has been vocal about her struggle to conceive.
During an episode of the talk show last year, the America's Next Top Model judge expressed her frustration alongside now pregnant star Chrissy Teigen, who also struggled to conceive.
"We're kind of going through this similar thing with IVF," Banks said while talking to her cohost. “And, you know, putting needles in your tummy every day and having to come to work and smile when you feel like you want to throw up and lay down — I can't believe I'm saying this right now!”

This will be the first child for Banks and her photographer beau, who have been together for two years.
