Such a gorgeous family! Zoe Saldana and her sister Cisely Saldana threw a baby shower earlier this month for their other sister, Mariel Saldana Webb, who’s due to give birth in July—and only Us Weekly has the exclusive party pictures.
The look-alike trio celebrated Mariel’s pregnancy at Caulfield’s restaurant in Beverly Hills on Sunday, June 8, with a tasty array of treats for the mom-to-be and her guests. The group snacked on grape gummy puffs, classic rock candy, and other sugary treats from Sugar Factory, as well as mini cupcakes from Baked by Melissa, washed down with Moet & Chandon champagne.
As evidenced by photos from the event, the Avatar actress, 36, is incredibly close with younger sis Cisely (a producer) and older sis Mariel (a nurse). The siblings even posed together in W Magazine‘s “Soul Sisters” feature back in 2010.
“Because we’ve had to survive so many things, there’s this special bond that connects us,” the Star Trek Into Darkness beauty said at the time. “We were raised in Queens, New York, until my father passed away when I was 9. Our mom, being a single parent, didn’t want us to grow up in a dangerous place, so she moved us to the Dominican Republic, where we stayed with my grandparents.”
“It’s inconceivable for us to be separated. We have to be around each other 24/7,” she added. When they’re not together physically, they’re constantly in touch. “I’ll text my mom once a day,” Saldana told W. “But my sisters? Every 30 minutes we’re [texting].”
