Beyoncé showed off her growing belly while wearing lingerie and a veil. “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. —The Carters,” she captioned the baby announcement on Instagram.
In March 2013, Beyoncé told Vogue that she felt sexier after becoming a mom. “Right now, after giving birth, I really understand the power of my body, I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it,” she said. “Even being heavier, thinner, whatever. I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame.”
Beyoncé said in May 2013 that she wanted to have more children. "I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister [to Solange Knowles]…. I am very protective. I just want to make sure that [Blue Ivy] can have a healthy, safe, normal life,” she told ABC News. “In the back of my mind, she’s my priority. And life is completely different now."
Beyoncé opened up about giving birth during a Vogue interview in March 2013. “I felt very maternal around eight months, and I thought I couldn't become any more until I saw the baby. But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door,” she said.
Beyoncé announced her first pregnancy with Blue at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2011. "I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it. It was important to me that I was able to do it myself," she told Harper’s Bazaar that October. "I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did.”
"We focused three years on our marriage and found that it brought us an even stronger bond and connection. But like anything great and successful in your life, marriage takes hard work and sacrifice,” Bey told Harper’s Bazaar in October 2011. “If you are with the right person, it brings out the best version of you."
