When father-daughter duo Dave and Hazel Roberts competed on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016, they were buzzed out by all four freaked out judges — including Simon Cowell — within 90 seconds of taking the stage.
”There’s nothing improper about it, what’s improper is people’s reaction,” Dave told his hometown paper, the Swindon Advertiser, at the time. “Pole acrobatics is great exercise, it’s fun and sociable and the community are great.”
Though Dave, 52, and Hazel, 27, didn’t make the cut on the British competition, they haven’t given up their dreams. The pair are preparing to open a studio with 14-foot poles in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
