Twice as nice! Meghan King Edmonds showed off her newborn twins, Hayes and Hart, exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum welcomed the boys with her husband, Jim Edmonds, on June 5. The couple also share daughter Aspen, 18 months.
“They’re such good babies,” Meghan, 33, gushed. “I feel really lucky.”

“They’re just like little babies,” the former Bravo personality told Us. “They’re early, so they were born exactly at 37 weeks. And so that’s still considered a week premature, so we could have run into issues. We didn’t, but since Hart was smaller, when your bilirubin level is higher, they take it a little bit more serious. … But I’m just happy that I didn’t have to deal with NICU time — like a lot of twin moms do — because I just don’t think I would be able to. I would handle it because you have to handle it, but I’m glad I didn’t have to.”

Things have been a walk in the park for Meghan with the help of her loving husband of nearly four years, who is a Fox Sports broadcaster. “He’s just so hands-on, and he was with Aspen … but I mean, I think he really stepped up his game,” she said. “He wakes up every morning with all three of our babies, and he just does it on his own. It doesn’t matter if he was working the Cardinals game the night before and got home at 2 a.m.”

The reality star told Us that her daughter is “right in the middle” of her boys’ personalities. “Hayes is so chill,” she explained. “If he’s ever fussy, he just needs to burp and that’s it. Hart is like a wild man and he wants to be held all the time. He’s really good too. … [Aspen] cried a lot for the first five weeks and these guys don’t.”

Meghan wasn’t nervous about having boys after a girl. “I feel like gender isn’t really determined by your child until they’re older,” she said. One worry she did have? “Changing a diaper with a penis because I’m like, ‘How do I deal with balls and stuff?’ ‘Cause I didn’t want to hurt them!”

Aspen has been a model big sister so far. “She’s been amazing,” the retail development specialist told Us. “She loves helping them. Like, if there’s a bottle, she gets the bottle and tries to feed them. And we let her! Or she’ll say she wants to hold them and she’ll put her arms around and we’ll let her hold them. So we’re trying to really integrate her into their lives so she doesn’t get jealous of them.”

Meghan and retired MLB player Jim, 47, wanted to add personal touches to the twins’ nursery, which is outfitted with Carousel Designs bedding. “It turned out super cute,” she mused. “The colors and neutral and it’s kind of, like, updated. The decor could easily go through their teenage years, honestly.”

Aspen has her own little section in the room, too. “I put a baby slide in there and Aspen loves to play on it,” the proud mom told Us. “I mean, they’re twins. They’re going to share a room. So I wanted to include the third baby.”

The transition to becoming a mother of three was “very natural” for Meghan. “It just comes with loving where I am in my life right now without having that huge shift [of having a first child], which I think all first-time moms probably experience to some degree,” she explained. “Mine was just really drastic because my life was very public.”

Though Meghan’s life can be chaotic, everything is falling into place — and she’s already dropping her baby weight with the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap. “I’ve been wearing those postpartum compression wraps. And that has really changed everything,” she said. “That’s, like, one thing that I would definitely recommend to new moms.”
