90 Day Fiancé alum Kenny Niedermeier is sharing an update on the status of husband Armando Niedermeier-Rubio’s visa amid daughter Hannah’s health battle.

Kenny, 63, told TMZ on Wednesday, August 5, that Armando’s visa extension currently runs through August 27. He will remain in the U.S. until that time as Hannah, 13, heals from a brain bleed. (Armando, 37, shared Hannah with his late first wife.)

Armando shared last month that Hannah had been airlifted from Mexico to a Phoenix, Arizona, ICU for specialized care after she suffered a medical emergency. He was initially unable to accompany his daughter due to issues with his visa, but he was able to secure an emergency visa the following day. He then reunited with Kenny and Hannah at the hospital.

Though Hannah was discharged from the facility, she was later readmitted on July 24 and subsequently released for a second time the following day. She is currently recovering at Armando and Kenny’s temporary home in Arizona, according to TMZ.

Amid his daughter’s health battle, Armando fought to have his temporary humanitarian visa extended. He revealed on July 26 that the extension was approved.

“My Humanitarian Visa has been extended for 30 more days!” the reality star wrote via Instagram. “This means I can continue being in Arizona with Hannah while she receives the medical treatment she still needs and, most importantly, remain by her side through her recovery, together with Kenny, for the next month at least 🙏🏻.”

He continued, “I want to extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) @cbpgov for reviewing my case with compassion and granting this extension. Every officer I’ve interacted with has treated me with kindness and respect, and I am forever grateful.”

Armando also gave a “very special thank you” to Representative Adelita Grijalva, who he said has been “advocating on my behalf.” He noted that Grijalva has “gone above and beyond for us, helped our family & achieved what we thought might not be possible.”

“And to our immigration attorney, @kelseyzubkoff , and her amazing team at @zubkofflaw Thank you for working tirelessly every step of the way, specially as this process continues,” he wrote. “Finally, a huge thank you to every single one of you who have prayed for @hannah_rubio_, shared our story, sent encouraging messages, and supported our family. Your love has carried us through the hardest days of our lives. This approval to remain at my daughters side is one more answered prayer, thank you ❤️‍🩹 Please keep Hannah in your prayers as she continues healing.”

Kenny and Armando rose to fame on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 2 in 2020, becoming the first same-sex male couple featured on the franchise. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, has also appeared in the mini-series 90 Day Journey: Kenny & Armando and the spin-offs 90 Day Diaries and 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk.
