90 Day Fiancé’s Armando Niedermeier-Rubio broke down in tears as he discussed his daughter Hannah’s mysterious medical issue.
“I don’t want to lose her,” Armando, 37, said while fighting back tears via an Instagram vlog on Thursday, July 16. “Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, guys. Thank you all that supported [us] … All the love that’s coming our way. I can’t thank any of you enough. You guys all have been angels through this.”
He added, “You made it a little easier even though I can’t be with her. Love you all, guys!”
Armando previously confirmed that he and husband Kenny Niedermeier had Hannah, 13, transferred by ambulance from Mexico to Yuma, Arizona, due to some alarming symptoms. (Kenny moved from Florida to Mexico during his romance with Armando on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. However, Kenny was in Ohio at the time of Hannah’s illness.)
“We were home [in Mexico] this morning at my parents’,” he continued on Wednesday. “I was at my shop and Hannah called me next door. She said she wasn’t feeling good. She’s crying. I went over. I noticed her face was droopy — half of her face — and her lips and stuff. Half of her body had no strength. So [I] immediately took her to the doctor. When we got to the doctor, they did tell us her levels were normal in the sense of no high blood pressure. Which was strange to the doctor because she said usually with stuff like this, she knew with the symptoms that it was something with the brain, but it was strange given her age and also the fact that she didn’t have high blood pressure, which would be a huge symptom for that.”
At the time, Armando explained that he and Kenny had no “more answers” about what was wrong with Hannah.
“So my mom decided, [she] can cross with her into the states, and they took her in the ambulance, and they took her to Yuma, Arizona, where they checked her,” he told viewers on Wednesday. “Again, they don’t understand it fully, but they did — with one of the scans — they found that there’s blood in her brain. So they’re looking into that. But they still don’t have answers, so they had to airlift her to Phoenix, Arizona, to the ICU there, where they’re checking her. They’re doing more tests.”
Kenny asked his followers for help obtaining an emergency travel visa to the U.S. so he can join Kenny at Hannah’s bedside in the hospital. His friend also launched a GoFundMe that has raised more than $11,000, as of publication, to “help support their family.”
In Thursday’s vlog, Armando struggled through tears to explain that he was still waiting for concrete information about Hannah’s condition.
“I just spoke to Kenny. He said the MRI gave no answers. The next step, they said they were going to do an angioplasty to see if they get answers through there,” he said, referring to the noninvasive procedure used to restore blood flow. “Most likely they will [get answers], they think. That means they have to put her out and I guess they go through her neck.”
Armando clarified that Hannah could be unconscious for anywhere between “hours” and “one day” while doctors assess the results of the procedure.
“It’s definitely scary, scary hearing that. Scary hearing the neck part,” he said. “I miss my baby girl.”
Armando and Kenny tied the knot on May 22, 2021, in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
Kenny is Hannah’s stepfather, as Armando welcomed her with his late wife. Kenny has four grown children from a previous relationship.
