What would Simon Cowell have to say about this?

Adam Lambert spent several hours in a Finnish jail Thursday. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 29-year-old American Idol runner-up was arrested outside a Helsinki, Finland gay bar after getting into an argument with his boyfriend, local reality star Sauli Koskinen.

Petri Juvonen, who was heading up the police investigation into the event, told the Hollywood Reporter Lambert and Koskinen were arrested around 4 a.m. outside DTM (Don't Tell Mama.) Both men were held for questioning as local police investigated a total of four possible assault offenses.

Media reports claim that Lambert and Koskinenn, a winner on the Finnish version of Big Brother, got into an argument in one of the club's back rooms and were kicked out. They continued to fight on the street.

Finnish beauty queen Sofia Ruusila had been celebrating with Lambert and Koskinen. She told a Finnish entertainment channel (as excerpted by the Hollywood Reporter) that she tried to get between Lambert and his beau when the Idol alum accidentally hit her.

The duo were released from jail Thursday afternoon.
