If you want to date Maroon 5's Adam Levine, wear a men's button-down (and nothing else) and get ready to nosh on some Mickey D's. In a sit-down with the fashion website Refinery29, the Voice judge, who's coming out with a men's clothing line for Kmart and Shop Your Way, gets candid about dating.
"I think women look great wearing men's watches — a big, chunky watch. Men's shirts also look good on women…just the shirt, that's what I prefer," Levine, who's been dating Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo since last summer, told the website.
What turns him off? "Too much perfume and too much makeup. Yuck." Interestingly, Levine launched his own women's and men's fragrances (called Adam Levine) this month.
As for what to wear on a first date: "I always like to dress up in a tuxedo and tell the girl to dress real fancy. I like to pick her up and go to McDonald's in a tuxedo…. It's a good spontaneous, romantic thing you can do that's also cost-effective. What if you don't like the person? It's only the first date," the singer opined. "Dress fancy, but go to McDonald's. Her world will be so rocked. You might be able to take her to the opera afterwards. If you don't like her, you can just take her home."
