Amanda Bynes Turns 30: Look Back at Her Life in the Spotlight!

Happy birthday, Amanda! Former child star Amanda Bynes turns 30 on Sunday, April 3, and she’s come a long way since making her debut on Nickelodeon’s All That in 1996, where she made viewers laugh alongside Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson.

After making a name for herself, Bynes scored her own Nick show, The Amanda Show.

In 2002, a more mature Bynes joined forces with Jennie Garth for the WB series What I like About You. After four seasons of the show, the young actress went on to appear in the films Big Fat Liar and What a Girl Wants, as well as fan favorite She’s the Man opposite Channing Tatum.

After a turbulent couple of years and 2014 stint in rehab, Bynes — who was briefly placed under a psychiatric hold in early 2014 — appears to be on the mend. The actress has publicly discussed her struggle with bipolar disorder, and she’s since stepped out looking happy and healthy. In October 2015, her parents’ lawyer, Tamar Arminak, confirmed to Us Weekly that Bynes is continuing to pursue her dream of a career in fashion.

"We are all so proud of her, and can't wait to see her amazing designs on the runway someday," Arminak told Us of the Easy A actress, who is back in classes at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.

"I am doing my best to get better," the star previously told Us in a statement via attorney David Esquibias in November 2014. "I am sorry for any pain I caused my family and others … I am thankful for everyone's patience and understanding."
