New romance? Amber Heard is getting close to billionaire Elon Musk following her split from estranged husband Johnny Depp, Us Weekly can confirm.
A source reveals that the Danish Girl actress, 30, spent last weekend with the Tesla Motors cofounder, 45, at the Delano South Beach in Miami Beach. They stayed together on Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17.
"Very, very late on Sunday night, Amber walked out of her room at the Delano, and then Elon walked out two minutes later," an eyewitness tells Us. (Us Weekly has reached out to Heard and Musk's reps for comment.)
The getaway may be a good distraction for Heard, who is in the middle of a messy split with Depp, 53. She filed for divorce in May after 15 months of marriage and accused the actor of domestic violence. A judge granted her request for a temporary restraining order.
Last month, Heard attended a court hearing with bruises on her face that she alleges were caused by Depp. In court documents, she claimed that the Alice Through the Looking Glass star assaulted her on April 21 and threw an iPhone at her face on May 21. Depp's lawyer, Laura Wesser, claims that Heard is accusing Depp for financial gain.
Depp's friends and loved ones, including ex Vanessa Paradis, have since come to his defense. (Depp and Paradis ended their 14-year relationship in 2012, and are parents of Lily-Rose, 17, and Jack, 14.)
As previously reported, Depp, who has since changed his Heard-inspired finger tattoo from "Slim" to "Scum," filed for a confidentiality agreement on July 15 in order to keep their divorce proceedings private.
"Johnny does not dispute that Amber is entitled to the majority of the information sought in her discovery requests and subpoena," the document states. “He is willing to produce the documents necessary for Amber’s evaluation of the relevant issues in this case, such as division of community estate and spousal support. He has asked, however, that a confidentially agreement be executed prior to the production of documents in order to protect the parties’ privacy." Heard, however, has refused to sign and agree to his request, according to the filing.
Heard and Depp's marriage was tumultuous long before they called it quits. "They had a horrible relationship," an insider exclusively told Us in June.
