Amy Duggar Marries Dillon King in Beautiful Ceremony: Get the Wedding Details

A time to celebrate! Amy Duggar and her fiance, Dillon King, exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Bentonville, Ark., on Sunday, Sept. 6 — and kept guests on their toes with some not-so-traditional details.

In place of flower girls, the couple had “ringing of the bell” girls (younger cousins who rang bells while walking down the aisle), and instead of a traditional hour-long sermon, the newlyweds opted for a sermon on roller coasters.

“We kept it really short and fun but still meaningful and sincere,” Amy Duggar told Us Weekly of the speech.

“I loved how modern it was, and I love the train,” Duggar told Us. “I love everything about it. I would wear it to the grocery store. I might be that bride where I’m wearing it to the grocery store and the gas station. I might bowl in it. Go-karts. …I’ll find a way to wear it all the time.”

Amy, who has appeared on 19 Kids and Counting, is the niece of stars Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar, and the cousin of disgraced reality star Josh Duggar, who is currently at a long-term rehabilitation center after admitting to cheating on his wife Anna and confessing to an addiction to pornography.

Amy and King, also 28, first began dating in November 2014, and announced their engagement via Instagram on Monday, July 13.

“I’m so happy to announce…WE ARE ENGAGED!!!” she shared with her fans alongside a sweet photo of her ring-clad hand holding gently onto her fiance’s arm. “He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he’s loyal, he’s patient, he’s my best friend! Of course I said yes!! I love you so much!”

And soon, Amy will no longer have the moniker that made her extended family so famous. According to the bride, she’ll be legally changing her last name to King.

“I’m so excited to take his last name, which I heard is trending [on Twitter] right now, that I’m ready to change my last name, which is the funniest thing, but I mean it’s true,” she told Us. “I think that’s going to be a really awesome feeling.”
