What a difference a season makes! Bachelor Chris Soules smelled like a rose following the conclusion of The Bachelor last night — which didn't go unnoticed by certain alums. Former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman and her runner-up suitor Nick Viall both recalled their cringeworthy After the Final Rose moment while watching Soules' proposal to Whitney Bischoff.
"Hoping this After the Final Rose goes better than mine… #TheBachelor," Dorfman, 27, tweeted.
Back in July, Dorfman got ticked off when Viall, 34, awkwardly brought up their fantasy suite night on live TV.
"If you weren't in love with me, I'm just not sure why, like, why you made love with me," he said at the time. Dorfman snapped back that the comment was "below the belt." (Dorfman and Josh Murray called off their five-month engagement in January. She's since packed up and moved to NYC.)
While cheering for Soules on his big finale, Viall similarly waxed nostalgic about that uncomfortable moment. "When keepin it real goes wrong," he captioned a pic of his ATFR appearance. "Best of luck to the lovely lady who doesn't end up in Iowa tonight. #TheBachelor #afr."
He gave a shout-out to Soules' runner-up Becca Tilley as well. "Something tells me Becca will be more composed than I was," he joked. "She will at least keep it above the belt. #TheBachelor."
The exes may not have seen eye to eye back then, but they do agree on one thing — Soules' new fiancee Bischoff. (Soules himself placed third during Dorfman's season.)
"I just think Whitney brings out the best in Chris. Thats as good as it gets #TheBacehlor," Viall wrote. Dorfman added: "Seriously so happy for @C_Soules and @whitbisch. Wishing you nothing but the absolute best! Both of you deserve it! #TheBachelor."
