Protect the Prada! Anna Wintour gave into the viral video sensation sweeping the country and Hollywood alike on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The Vogue Editor-in-Chief and Conde Nast Creative Director, 64, participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, posting the video, which also included seven members of her family, on Vogue’s Facebook page.
Clad in her trademark printed sundress and shades — her perfectly coiffed hair in place — Wintour appeared calm and collected prior to getting the buckets of freezing water dumped on her head.
“I, Anna Wintour, with my family accept my daughter Bee’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and I nominate Roger Federer, Dominic West, and family. Roger and Dominic, you have 24 hours,” she declared before screaming as the chilly water drenched her signature bob.
The Brit nominated Swiss tennis pro Federer and British actor West after her 27-year-old daughter Bee Shaffer was first nominated by pal and Girls star Allison Williams and then nominated her famed mom in an Instagram video.
Shaffer also posted her mother’s challenge video on Instagram, writing, “Much more dignified than her daughter.”
