Get ready for some Grande-sized laughs! In a set of hilarious promos for the Saturday, March 12, episode of Saturday Night Live, host and musical guest Ariana Grande proves her comedic chops.
Joining the “Focus” singer, 22, in the clip is SNL cast member Taran Killam. As Killam pokes fun at some of Grande’s most notorious attributes, the Nickelodeon alum is a good sport and even engages in an endearing amount of self-deprecation.
After making a Starbucks-related pun out of the pop star’s last name and gently teasing her about her petite 5-foot frame, Killam took aim at Grande’s failure to fully enunciate the lyrics to her songs.
“I love your song, ‘Problem,’” the comedian tells the two-time Grammy nominee, before busting out his own rendition of the Iggy Azalea–assisted hit: “I got one less prom production.”
“Are you saying ‘prom production’?” a perplexed Grande asks, to which Killam quips, “Yeah, I told you I liked the song …”
“I don’t blame you, enunciation isn’t my forte, but it actually is like the title,” the Scream Queens actress corrects him. “It’s ‘one less problem without you.’ ”
Killam then goes into more nonsensical singing as Grande tries her best not to crack up, before admitting she could “f–k with” his version of the track.
