Arnold Schwarzenegger Admits He Had a “Hot Affair” With Brigitte Nielsen

Arnold Schwarzenegger's new memoir is more like a tell-all.

In addition to admitting he made a mistake by having an affair with housekeeper Mildred Baena, Schwarzenneger confesses to another affair with Brigitte Nielsen in his new memoir.

In Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, the former Republican governor of California, 65, confirms he had a "hot affair" with costar Nielsen in the 1985 film Red Sonja, the Associated Press reports. At the time, Schwarzenneger was dating and living with his now estranged wife Maria Shriver.

Nielsen, 49, wrote about their "outrageous affair" in her memoir last year, but Schwarzenegger never confirmed.

In his memoir, Schwarzenegger says their "fling" made him realize he wanted to marry Shriver. Nielsen went on to marry Schwarzenegger's friend Sylvester Stallone, but the couple split after 19 months of marriage.

In an interview with 60 Minutes airing Sunday, Schwarzenegger opens up about his affair with Baena that resulted in the birth of his fifth child, Joseph, 14.

"I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship," the Terminator actor says. "It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids."
