Ashley Iaconetti opened up about the difficulty of parenting while filming The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

While recapping an argument between her, Rosie DiMare and Kelsey Swanson during the Tuesday, May 19, episode of her and Ben Higgins“Almost Famous” podcast, Higgins, 37, asked her why she felt like things were “swirling” in her life.

“It’s really hard to be a parent while going through all of this,” Iaconetti, 38, said of her two kids, Dawson, 4, and Hayden, 10 months, whom she shares with husband Jared Haibon. “Now that we can say [we’re] filming season 2, bracing for that filming, I can’t do it all myself anymore.

“That’s tough,” Higgins replied. “I mean, I think the big question was, do you regret filming this? This is becoming something that you’re going to be known for, maybe more than your time on The Bachelor.”

Iaconetti disagreed that she’ll “ever” be known more as a Housewife than a member of Bachelor Nation. “I think that was me at my finest reality TV,” she explained. “I’m a totally different person emotionally now. I was only stressed out about romance. I only got into fights about guys. I don’t get triggered enough by friend drama.”

Iaconetti met Haibon, 37, while filming season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. She arrived hoping to make a romantic connection with Haibon, but he did not feel the same. She tried to pursue him again during season 3 of the show, but he still was not interested. Iaconetti then moved on with Kevin Wendt in 2017, causing Haibon to realize he actually did have feelings for her.

In May 2018, they announced that they were officially a couple. The following year, Haibon got down on one knee while visiting the contestants on season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. The pair tied the knot in 2019 in Rhode Island.
