One, big happy family! Real Housewives of New York City star Aviva Drescher's father, George Teichner, 76, secretly married his 25-year-old girlfriend, Dana Lavette Cody, on Aug. 3, and his daughter couldn't be more happy!
"I am so happy for my father and Cody! They did get married! They eloped!" the blonde Bravo star tells Us Weekly of her outspoken dad, who surprised her when he popped the question to the nail salon owner on the reality show.
After news broke of the elder's secret Malibu wedding, there was speculation as to why the leg-thrower didn't attend. Cody, however, was quick to clarify that Drescher didn't intentionally not show up.
"@avivadrescher was not the ONLY "NO SHOW"..because we DID NOT TELL ANYONE!!!!" the bride wrote. "Neither family members were aware!! My #HUSBAND & myself only allowed the world to view our love via #RHONY @bravotv so that the public can understand that #truelove & #soulmates exist despite ageism,& cultural differences!! We are truly not into "showbiz" -only into each other… Certain moments in life are #priceless!!!!!"
