They may no longer consider themselves husband and wife, but Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne were each other’s red carpet dates on Valentine’s Day! The estranged spouses attended Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala on Sunday, February 14, at the Beverly Hilton, posing next to one another on the red carpet.
Lavigne, 31, wore a black lace dress with her blonde hair down, while Kroeger, 41, wore an all-black suit. Neither sported their wedding ring.
Once inside the event, the “Complicated” singer posted several pics with her ex on her Instagram account.
“Grammy Party ….. Feeling great. Lovely night,” she captioned one photo.
The pair shared a table with rockers Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from Kiss, and Alice Cooper. Other celebs in attendance included Courtney Love, Melissa Etheridge, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Ciara, Zayn Malik, Natasha Bedingfield, James Corden, Ellie Goulding, Meghan Trainor and more.
Lavigne first announced her split from her husband of two years in September 2015, writing via Instagram, “It is with heavy hearts that Chad and I announce our separation today.”
Lavigne has since been spotted out and about with her longtime friend Ryan Cabrera.
