It’s official! Four months after getting engaged on the season 2 finale of Bachelor in Paradise, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert tied the knot. The pair said their I do's Sunday, January 24, in a beautiful ceremony at the St. Regis Resort Monarch Beach in Dana Point, California, Us Weekly has confirmed.
The happy couple’s guest list included Bachelor host Chris Harrison, current Bachelor Ben Higgins, season 19 Bachelor Chris Soules, Ali Fedotowsky, Andrew Firestone, Ryan and Trista Sutter, Carly Waddell, Andi Dorfman, Nick Viall, Ivana Bozilovic, Bob Guiney and Jessica Canyon. The romantic celebration will air on ABC on Valentine’s Day.
“Coming into Paradise, I really didn’t have any expectations about meeting somebody or falling in love with somebody,” Tolbert, who appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of The Bachelorette, told Roper during his on-air proposal in September 2015. “I’ve never met anybody who makes me feel the way I feel with you.”
Roper, who originally tried to find love on season 19 of The Bachelor, replied: “You make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, and worthy, and understood, which I don’t think I’ve ever felt from a man before.”
Roper, 29, and Tolbert, 28, put down a deposit on a new home in Kansas City, Kansas, on Sunday, January 10, and documented the days leading up to their wedding on Instagram, sharing photos as they did last-minute prep and worked on their wedding registry together.
Earlier this month, Roper captioned a post, “Good man right here, he ran errands with me all day on his day off and during some of Sunday football. That’s love.”
The new spouses aren’t the first members of Bachelor Nation to say “I do” on air. Ryan and Trista Sutter tied the knot on TV in 2003, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum's televised nuptials aired in 2012 and Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici married in 2014 in the franchise’s first-ever live TV wedding.
