And the best husband in a supporting role award goes to … Benji Madden! The Good Charlotte rocker couldn’t help gushing about his wife, Cameron Diaz, in a sweet Instagram post on Friday, January 15.
“I couldn’t be more proud of my bad ass wife,” he captioned a snapshot of the cover of her upcoming book, The Longevity Book. “She wakes up everyday on a mission to try and make the world a better place. I’m always amazed by the courage, strength and vulnerability she shows, relentlessly encouraging other women to love themselves. It has been amazing to get to watch her journey with her new book! #theLongevityBook #April5th @thebodybook @camerondiaz #lovemywife.”
Madden, 36, and Diaz, 43, tied the knot at her Beverly Hills home just over a year ago, on January 5, 2015. The couple began dating in early 2014 and got engaged seven months later, and have been enthusiastic about their love for one another ever since.
For her birthday in August, Madden posted a cute photo of the two of them snuggled up together, with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Wife. My best friend and Everything else – there’s so much I could write. I’m the luckiest guy alive – I get to spend the rest of my life right here. I love this Woman!! Many more Baby!!”
Prior to their whirlwind romance, Diaz dated Alex Rodriguez, Justin Timberlake and Jared Leto. Madden was previously linked to Paris Hilton.
The pair initially met through Madden’s sister-in-law Nicole Richie, who has been married to Benji’s twin brother, Joel Madden, since December 2010.
“Nicole thought they’d click,” a source told Us at the time.
