Benson Boone was caught in a compromising position when an unsuspecting fan walked in on the singer with his pants down in a public bathroom at one of his own concerts.

“I’ve never told this story,” Boone, 24, said in a sneak peek of his Friday, October 2, appearance on the “Life Uncut” podcast. “Backstage, I didn’t have a bathroom for some reason. My bathroom that I had was shared with the audience bathroom, so, like, anyone in the audience could be in the bathroom that I was in, and I didn’t know that.”

Boone acknowledged that most men “just unzip and let it rip” when they use a urinal, but he and his friends have a running gag where they drop their pants completely to the ground.

“So I walk in there, drop the drawers. They are fully at my ankles, and I have started taking the piss,” he recalled. “Once you start, you can’t stop or it hurts, so I’m standing there, and someone walks in, and I didn’t look. I didn’t look over because I assumed it would be, like, [one of my friends], and it wasn’t.”

After hearing the fan gasp behind him, Boone immediately turned around and became frazzled.

“I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,'” he shared. ” I didn’t know who it was, and I was like, ‘Hi. Oh! Wow. Hi. Uh, oh my gosh.’ And [the fan] goes, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re Benson Boone!’ And I was like, ‘Yep, I sure am. Are you coming to the show?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah!'”

Boone did not share when or where the awkward run-in occurred.

The Grammy nominee wrapped the 35-date American leg of his Wanted Man Tour in Sacramento, California, on September 9. Later this month, he is scheduled to travel to Asia for three shows before performing nine nights in Australia in November.

“Booners. Thank you forever for the memories you bring in my life,” Boone wrote to his fans via Instagram last month after concluding his U.S. concerts. “You guys mean the world to me, I will always show up for you as I know you will show up for me. I love you guys more than you know and I can’t wait to see you again. Until next time.”

The “Beautiful Things” singer is currently working on his third studio album. He released his latest single, “The Time of My Life,” in June.
