Talk about a fashion statement! Beyonce has yet to comment on her Monday, Jan. 21 rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" — in which a pre-recorded track was used — at President Barack Obama's Inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C. But on Saturday night, the Grammy winner, 31, sent a message her own way via Instagram.
In a black-and-white photograph, Beyonce (currently rehearsing for her Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans), her hands held out casually, sports a baseball cap, sunglasses — and a sweatshirt emblazoned with the message "Can I live?", seemingly shrugging off the naysayers.
The top is also an homage to her husband Jay-Z's song "Can I Liv?" from his Reasonable Doubt album. (The crew-neck retails for about $102.)
That, for now, is likely all that Beyonce will say on the matter of her National Anthem performance. A pal told Us the superstar is ready to "knock them dead" at the Super Bowl on Sunday Feb. 3 (featuring a reunion with her Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.)
"She can't wait to get on the Super Bowl stage and show everyone."
