World stop … carry on! Just one day before taking the Super Bowl 50 stage during Coldplay’s halftime show, Beyoncé dropped a brand-new single titled “Formation” exclusively on Tidal on Saturday, February 6.
“Formation,” produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and Apluss, is the 34-year-old singer’s first new track since 2014’s “7/11.” She is expected to perform the song for the first time at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 7.
The music video, shot primarily in New Orleans, even features a cameo from Beyoncé and Jay Z’s 4-year-old daughter, Blue.
The Grammy winner also gives a shout-out to her famous husband, as she sings, “I’m so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress. I’m so possessive, so I rock his Roc necklaces.”
Last month, Queen Bey starred in the music video for Coldplay’s single “Hymn for the Weekend.”
