She sneezed on the beat and the beat got sicker! Beyoncé briefly paused her performance during a concert in NYC, and it wasn’t because of a technical issue — she just had to sneeze.
The unexpected moment came before an a cappella rendition of the 34-year-old entertainer’s 2011 hit “Love on Top” at New York’s Citi Field on Tuesday, June 7. After Beyoncé let out a small sneeze, the audience roared, cheered and simultaneously shouted, “Bless you!”
The “Sorry” singer, who is in the midst of her Formation world tour, seemed unfazed as she smiled and continued her performance.
The split-second moment, which proved that Beyoncé is indeed human, went viral as the Beyhive freaked out on Twitter.
“Beyoncé just sneezed into the crook of her arm of her Gucci costume in between songs and it was very endearing,” one user wrote, while another joked, “Didn’t even know Beyoncé could sneeze yo.”
Another fan added, “Beyoncé sneezed once between songs tonight and made the entire stadium say ‘bless you’ and cheer … she LITERALLY sneezed on the beat.”
