She’s not worried about that post-baby body yet! Blac Chyna said on Snapchat that she’s excited to pack on the pounds during her pregnancy, and she revealed her weight gain so far on Sunday, June 5.
“My goal is to gain, like, 100 pounds this pregnancy. Imma tear it up, then Imma snap back,” she said as she snacked on chips.
Then, the 28-year-old model, who is expecting with fiancé Rob Kardashian, stepped on the scale and showed her followers she’s gained more than 26 pounds. “From 139lbs to 165.6lbs,” she captioned the photo of her current weight. Chyna’s bump is growing — she recently flaunted her bare belly in a selfie on Friday, May 27.
While the makeup maven may not mind her expanding waistline, experts say excessive weight gain during pregnancy can be risky. “Too much weight will increase the risk of pelvic floor disorders postpartum and later in life,” Dr. Rebecca Nelken, a Los Angeles-based Ob-Gyn, tells Us. A woman of average weight should gain only 25 to 35 pounds during her pregnancy, according to The National Institutes of Health.
Last week, Chyna updated her followers on her pregnancy and said it’s actually been pretty easy. “If you guys were wondering, I’m actually having a really good pregnancy similar to King’s,” she said on Snapchat, referencing her 3-year-old son, King Cairo, with ex-fiancé (and Rob’s sister Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend) Tyga. “No morning sickness, no cravings, just baby!”
However, there is one downside of having a bun in the oven: “I swear I wish I had the energy to wake up and do my makeup every day,” she shared on Snapchat. “I would post so many more videos and pictures, but I just don’t have the energy.”
As the couple prepares to welcome their first child together and plan a wedding, they’re also filming a new six-episode E! docuseries, Rob & Chyna, which is set to air later this year. The pair announced their engagement in April after a few months of dating. A few weeks later, Chyna’s rep exclusively confirmed her pregnancy news to Us Weekly on May 6.
While their romance has been a whirlwind, they’re in no rush to walk down the aisle. “We’re taking things slow,” Chyna told Entertainment Tonight in May. “Everyone’s happy! Things with Rob’s family are fantastic.” Their relationship initially caused drama in the Kardashian-Jenner clan because Kylie was still dating Tyga, but they split in early May. Chyna’s best friend, Amber Rose, also previously dated Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West.
