Blake Shelton is laughing off rumors that he and his wife, Gwen Stefani, are planning to divorce.

“I started noticing these articles popping up about, ‘Blake and Gwen, they’re split up,” the singer, 49, joked while cohosting the Country Countdown USA radio show on Saturday, January 10, adding that he learned not to “believe anything anymore that I see on the internet.”

“[I saw them say] ‘They’re not even seeing each other anymore, they’re going through a divorce.’ And then, a week later, a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store,” he added. “‘Oh, they’re back together again!’”

Shelton continued, “And another week goes by and we’re not seen at the grocery store … ‘They’re divorcing.’”

Shelton admitted that even he gets fooled sometimes because of the sheer volume of misinformation circulating on social media.

“I see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, ‘That looks so real.’ But I know I don’t even own that shirt or, ‘Whose car is that?’” he joked.

Shelton and Stefani, 56, tied the knot in July 2021. The country singer was previously married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 to 2006 and then to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015, while Stefani was with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016. (Stefani and Rossdale share three sons: Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11.)

Us Weekly exclusively reported in December 2025 that Shelton and Stefani are “as strong as ever” in both their family values and their shared faith.

“[Their relationship is] rooted in the things that matter to them both. They are very devoted to each other,” a source told Us. “From the beginning of their relationship, they dealt with the obstacle of their careers taking them in different directions and having to spend time apart. But it’s a part of their lifestyle now. They make it work.”

The insider explained that while Shelton and Stefani have grown accustomed to traveling apart for work, they keep a strong “home base” in the CMA Award winner’s home state of Oklahoma.

“They spend quite a bit of time in California and then Las Vegas [too],” a source noted. “Traveling back and forth is just part of the job at this point, and they’ve both been quite used to it for many years.”

They added, “When either of them is headlining in Vegas, the other is there. They both work so much, but even if they get there for a day to spend time together, that’s what they do.”

Us reported that “time together, and with their kids” continues to be a “priority” for both Stefani and Shelton despite their busy schedules.
