This is getting messy. Chef Bobby Flay filed for divorce from his wife Stephanie March earlier this month, and now a new report claims that Flay, 50, had been cheating on the Law & Order: SVU actress, 40, with Elyse Tirrell. Page Six notes that Tirrell, 28, is a “singer/actress who worked as a hostess at the chef’s Bar Americain in 2008 and became his assistant.”
Flay’s rep released a statement to Us Weekly in regard to this new claim, saying, “We will continue to refrain from responding to the continued efforts by certain parties to spread rumors and innuendo. This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other. It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that’s unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a prenuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage.”
March’s lawyer’s are currently contesting the couple’s prenup, which says millionaire Flay only has to pay his ex $5,000 per month.
The couple has been married for 10 years, but have no children together.
Actress Maia Madison claims March told her about Flay’s affair around Thanksgiving, saying, “She came to my house and was sobbing uncontrollably. She said, ‘I can’t believe the last 10 years of my life have been a lie.'”
But Flay’s business partner Laurence Kretchmer told Page Six a different story, claiming if there had been an affair going on he’d know about it.
Kretchmer also alluded to further scandals coming out surrounding the couple’s marriage, saying, “As ugly as Stephanie is going to look [when this news comes out], she will look uglier when other things come out.”
