Brandi Glanville is defending herself from backlash after posting a controversial photo of herself amid a Nativity scene.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 44, posed for a pic squatting over baby Jesus in a manger, as if she’s giving birth. “Never forget the reason for the season #sweetchildomine #gunsnroses #sandiego #oldtown,” she captioned the Facebook photo on Friday, November 25.
Glanville deleted the photo after facing a backlash from some of her followers, who felt it was sacrilegious and slammed the post as “tasteless” and “disgusting." She later took to Twitter on Monday, November 28, to explain that the controversial post was meant to be a joke.
“Guess what! God forgave me! Now you people that don’t think spewing hate is a sin might want to check with our Lord! #hypocrisy,” she tweeted. “I made a joke about where babies come from in poor taste. I am Christian raised Lutheran. I apologized & took it down. God forgives that’s it!!” she wrote in a second tweet.

However, some followers didn’t think her apology went far enough. “This picture was obscene and in poor taste now the way you apologized seems like a half ass one at that … an honest apology would have been better,” one Facebook user wrote. Other fans were more understanding. “I thought it was a little tacky but nothing to get all upset about. You liked the photo or you didn’t … Move on people!” another Facebook poster wrote.
