The Bachelor alum and Toops first met earlier this year when Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe vied for the title of Season 11 Bachelorette. A heartbroken Nilsson returned home after the majority of contestants voted for Bristowe, but Toops left the show shortly after to be with the 27-year-old waitress.

"I guess Chris Harrison felt bad about having let me go, so, he gave Brady my [hotel room number]," Nilsson explained to Jimmy Kimmel on May 19. "It is pretty smooth, it's very gentlemanly. I thought it was sweet."

Nilsson and the Nashville singer-songwriter appeared hot and heavy at first, often documenting their kisses via Instagram. (The Bachelorette also gave weekly updates on their relationship.) The reality star — who was a contestant on Chris Soules' Season 19 of The Bachelor — last posted about Toops on May 29. "#teambeanie #fbf," she captioned a pic of the lovebirds.

On July 9, Toops shared a lengthy Top 10 list about what he's learned over the past few months. Some of the more telling tweets included: "Life is hard & we could all use a little more kindness along the way," "My friends are still my friends, and they're awesome and I appreciate them now more than ever," and "I'm not that cool or smooth when talking to girls, especially on TV; I'm just as nervous & awkward as the next dude."

Last but not least, he added at No. 10: "Life is better shared.. and though risky, it's better to have loved than to have never loved at all."

E! was first to break the split news.
