Less than one month after finalizing their divorce, Bunnie Xo is looking back at Jelly Roll’s affair early in their marriage.
“When I had gone through a situation with an affair, it’s not the act that hurts you,” the media producer, 46, told guest Denise Richards during the Monday, August 3, episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “It’s the lies. It’s just, like, whiplash.”
Bunnie Xo continued, “There’s no way to feel good about it. Betrayal trauma literally rewires your brain to not trust people, to just feel disgusting because you’re the last to know. Nobody ever wants to be the f***ing last to know.”
She also called the affair “a different kind of hurt.”
While the podcaster did not name Jelly Roll, 41, in the podcast episode, the country singer previously admitted in October 2025 that he had cheated on Bunnie Xo a few years after they tied the knot in 2016.
“I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said on the “Humane School” podcast at the time. “I was hanging around a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives.”
Jelly Roll added that he and Bunnie Xo “worked hard to repair the relationship” after his betrayal.

Bunnie Xo also addressed the cheating scandal in her February memoir, Stripped Down, revealing that she contemplated suicide after the affair.
“The pain was so intense that I genuinely just wanted to end it all,” she wrote.
Though Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll reconciled at the time, they ultimately called it quits earlier this year. Us confirmed in June that the “Save Me” singer filed for divorce one month prior. The split was finalized in July.
In a since-deleted podcast episode released shortly after the divorce news broke, Bunnie Xo insisted that she and Jelly Roll had an amicable separation. She also shared insight into the reason behind their split.
“J and I have never really been good at having disagreements. So, we were the type of couple who never argued. So, he would be holding things in. I would be holding things in, and that’s a recipe for disaster,” she explained. “We always preach you gotta be comfortable having the uncomfortable conversations, and we did that for eight years in. Then the past year and a half, we kind of got away from that because we’re in a different life right now.”
Bunnie Xo continued, “On Mother’s Day, we had a little bit of an argument, which I don’t think the details are necessary. And, in that argument, I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and said, ‘Well, then file the f***ing divorce papers.’”
Jelly Roll also addressed the split during his concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, on June 18.
“Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today,” he said. “Nobody cheated on nobody. … That will be my best friend forever.”
More recently, he shared his plans to “take some time off and heal” after the end of his tour, telling fans in Salt Lake City, “This has truly been a lifetime experience for me.”
