Wynonna Judd and her husband Cactus Moser really played up the country theme of their June 10 wedding.
As revealed exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly, Judd, 48, and Moser, 55, tied the knot on the country singer’s farm in Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. While Wynonna walked barefoot down the aisle in a Houri Barahimi dress, Moser accessorized his tuxedo with a vest, pocket watch and .44 Magnum gun.
“First of all, I saw the gun and I mean, I almost squealed out loud,” Judd told Us of when she first walked down the aisle and saw Moser. “He was very ‘Maverick.’ “
But Moser took a step further after the ceremony. “Right as Cactus went by Ashley’s house he fired his gun,” Judd shared. “I’m sure she really appreciated that if she was home.” She added with a laugh, “She was probably under the bed!”
Judd did not invite her famous sister Ashley Judd or mother Naomi Judd to her wedding — despite the fact that they both live right next door.
“Ashley’s probably so busy with [husband] Dario [Franchitti] having won the Indianapolis 500, she probably doesn’t even know,” she admitted.
The family’s relationship with each other has been rocky, but they hope to change that.
“We’re getting ready to sit down with our life coach and re-evaluate what we want out of this relationship . . . We just don’t have a lot of contact right now, if any, because we’re all doing our own thing.”
Judd’s children from previous marriages, Grace, 16, and Elijah, 17, and Moser’s sons Cahl, 23, Wyatt, 18, and daughter Sunshine, 33, were in attendance.
“I didn’t want it to be about anyone but Cactus and me,” she explained. “Because to me, at the end of the day, it’s the children, Cactus, and me . . I was so concerned about making this feel special for them, everything fell away.”
