Cake Boss Cupcake Recipe: Buddy Valastro Shares Easy Summer Dessert

Cake Boss Buddy Valastro
Cake Boss Buddy Valastro is encouraging kids to get baking in the kitchen by sharing his "It's a Party" cupcake recipe with Us Weekly.

The Cake Boss Buddy Valastro, the star of TLC's Cake Boss and Next Great Baker, developed a cupcake recipe easy enough for your kids to do (with the supervision of an adult, of course).

"Nothing's better than watching a young baker achieve success in the kitchen," New Jersey-based Valastro, who recently expanded his namesake line of cake mixes, frostings, bakeware and cooking accessories, tells Us. "I want to surprise kids with how easy and fun it is to bake a cake or cupcakes themselves."

"Now It's a Party" Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS
1 box of Cake Boss It's Your Party Cake and Cupcake Mix
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 cup of water
1 tub of Cake Boss Whole Lotta Chocolate Frosting
1 bottle of Cake Boss Rainbow Sprinkles

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare pans to keep from sticking by lightly coating the sides and bottom of pans with non-stick cooking spray or by using shortening and a flour dusting.

2. Combine cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water and custard crème pouch in large bowl. Blend on low speed for 30 seconds or until evenly mixed, then beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter equally into cupcake pans.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for the bake times indicated on the box mix. The cupcakes are done when a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcake comes out clean. Cool pans on wire rack for 15 minutes before removing the cake from the pans. Cool completely before icing. Garnish with rainbow sprinkles and enjoy!
