Carl Radke is not holding back on Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s newfound romance.
The Summer House star, 41, was asked if he thinks Amanda, 34, and West, 31, will last during an appearance on the Tuesday, May 12, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“Absolutely not,” Carl resoundingly responded.
The Soft Bar owner also gave some insight into when he learned about Amanda and West’s relationship, which they first confirmed in a joint Instagram statement in late March. The romance caused shockwaves among the Summer House cast — and viewers — because West previously dated Amanda’s BFF and costar, Ciara Miller. (Amanda, meanwhile, announced her separation from estranged husband Kyle Cooke in January.)
“I had been hearing things for maybe a week or two before that,” he said. “One of Ciara’s very good friends that I’ve gotten to know texted me maybe like a month before the statement and said, ‘I think something’s weird here.’ I sent her screenshots of examples of times where I’ve been rumored as different stuff that wasn’t true.”
Carl continued, “I thought to myself, ‘This happens to us all the time. There’s no way this would ever happen.’”
According to Carl, he suspected something was going on when several of the Summer House cast filmed an appearance on Hot Ones earlier this year.
“Interestingly enough, we filmed that [and] Amanda, as soon as the camera wrapped, she was gone,” he said. “She’s like, ‘Alright, I’m out.’ There was a nervous energy. The energy was off and she dipped out really fast.”
Carl said he has not spoken to West since filming the Summer House season 10 reunion last month, after previously sharing that he “can’t really hold space for someone like that” amid West’s controversial romance with Amanda.
“He texted me two different times right after the reunion. I appreciate the text, but … even things I’ve learned over the last week, the stuff just keeps piling on. Some Housewives stuff that’s bubbled over. It’s messy,” he said, referring to Ciara’s claims that West slept with Bravolebrity Jennifer Fessler.
Jennifer, for her part, denied that she hooked up with West.
“I have never slept with West Wilson,” Jennifer, 57, said on the Monday, May 11, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast. “He was not my hall pass.”
“You guys know my nickname is Messy Fessy because I’m messy and sloppy,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum added. “That is not the same as sleeping with that child. That’s not my thing. I’ve never ever had an intimate moment of any kind with West Wilson.”
