On your mark, get set, go! Thousands of runners sprinted through New York City’s five boroughs on Sunday, Nov. 2, and amongst the throngs of athletes were tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki and Desperate Housewives alum Teri Hatcher.
The pals prepared for the race together and Hatcher, 49, tweeted a selfie with Wozniacki, 24, and Top Chef All Stars winner Richard Blais.
“Trying 2 stay warm & calm prerace w/ new friends fellow runners @CaroWozniacki @RichardBlais #tcsnycmarathon,” the Sundown actress tweeted.
The Danish tennis star completed the 26-mile race in an impressive time, tweeting, “OMG did I really just finish the @nycmarathon in 3 hours, 26 min and 33 sec??? Sooo happy and proud of myself!”
Wozniacki’s pal and fellow tennis champ Serena Williams was tearfully waiting to congratulate her at the finish line.
The winner of this year’s race, Kenyan runner Wilson Kipsang, completed the course in 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 59 seconds.
Hatcher, however, took her time stopping part way through the race to take pictures with her daughter and a friend.
“Look who found me at mile 18.. my Emerson and friend Jenn Ned! thanks for the support everyone! #nycmarathon,” she tweeted along with some photos.
