This is her week! Chloë Grace Moretz finally confirmed her rekindled romance with off-again, on-again boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham via Instagram on Friday, May 6, sharing a sweet photo of the British heartthrob kissing her head.
This is the first time Moretz, 19, has publicly acknowledged her relationship with Beckham since they recently picked up their relationship after taking a break in 2015. In recent weeks, 17-year-old Beckham (Victoria and David‘s eldest) has been sharing more photos of the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star on his account, including a recent selfie of himself cozying up to her.
Moretz’s Instagram, however, has been devoid of his presence — and there’s a reason. In her June 2016 Glamour cover story, the Carrie actress explained that she values privacy, especially when it comes to dating.
“Because it’s no one’s business,” the precocious former child star said. “These moments are supposed to be so personal and special — you’re building a foundation with someone or just having fun and going on a date. No one needs to know about that, and I hate to see that stuff broadcast on TV.”
The 30 Rock guest star also opened up about her father, McCoy Moretz, leaving the family before she turned 13. As a result, her mom, Teri Moretz, singlehandedly raised Chloë and her four older brothers, who became superprotective of her.
“They peeled back when I turned 18, but, yeah, it’s like I have four bodyguards,” she told Glamour. “When a guy comes to the house to pick me up for a date, I enjoy them answering the door, shaking his hand, and then him being like, ‘Your brothers are kind of scary.’ I’m like, ‘They are definitely very scary.’ I enjoy the power of that.”
Us Weekly exclusively revealed in August 2014 that Moretz and Beckham were an item after meeting at their local spin boutique. “We SoulCycle at the same place,” Moretz told Company magazine that same month. “So we met a while ago and then just kinda started hanging out.”
